MT. MARAMI

MARAGONDON CAVITE

"SILYANG BATO"

MT. MARAMI FROM THE TRAIL!

SEPT. 10, 2016 when we decided to hike the less known counterpart of Mt. Pico de loro Mt. Marami, because of its famous Silyang Bato, the curiosity strike me and push me to hike for this Mystical Mountain.

LOCATION: MARAGONDON CAVITE
JUMP OFF: BRGY. RAMIREZ, MAGALLANES CAVITE
DAYS REQUIRED/ HOURS TO SUMMIT: 1 TO 2 DAYS/ 4 TO 6 HOURS
DIFFICULTY: W/ 3/9 DIFFICULTY (MINOR CLIMB)

                                       BARANGAY. RAMIREZ JUMP OFF POINT.

MT. MARAMI is a distance mountain from Mt. Pico de Loro with the same enormous rocks formations and massive rock towers, if there is monolith on Pico there is a Silyang Bato at Mt. Marami. but unlike Mt. Pico Mt. Marami is more challenging because of 4 to 6  hours of walking under a scorching sun, and more of beaten tracks to get lost to, like us even our tour guide lost our tracks for not so long and find our way back on the trail,

GETTING THERE

FROM COASTAL MALL PASAY, TAKE SAULOG BUS TO NAIC (65 PESOS)
FROM NAIC TAKE A TRIKE GOING TO NAIC TERMINAL WHERE YOU CAN GET A JEEP BOUND TO MAGALLANES ( 20PESOS)

THE CLIMB

Me and my friend Lara  started our trek around 10 AM, we started late because of delayed trip at Coastal Mall and at Naic Terminal where they need to fill all the vacant seat before they leave the terminal. the trek is not that hard and not that technical either, The thing that come our way is the muddy Trail because of rain a day before our scheduled hike, distance of summit as it was we are doing a trilogy hikes, and of course the heat of the sun...

there is a variety of trails, First the flat surface and Muddy Trail, yung akala mo walang katapusang Putek, then you will passed into a trail full of Talahib where you are exposed to the heat of the Sun, the forestry trail with small bamboos with its refreshing environment and you will do river crossing for three times. There where a few assault but not that hard.

after a long way of walking into a muddy and into the middle of the scorching sun, Mt. Marami showed up, and that give us boosting energy to continued our journey towards the summit. we rest for sometime at Jenrick Aunt's, she is selling Soda Beverages/softdrinks. ( Jenrick is our Tourguide)

when we see the Mt. Marami on the trail, i feel the rush of excitement and curiosity, our drained and fatigued body suddenly become more energized and ready to go.

AT THE SUMMIT

finally after 4hours of trek we reached the summit, We were lucky to be the 2nd and the last group to arrived, we rest and wait for the 2 girls to make their descend for us to fully occupied with no hesitant of being a photo bomber..ahahha!but in no time the rain clouds kill our excitement, yung masasabi mo nalang na bwisit na Ulan yan "PANIRA" :)!

not all are brave to face the heights, but for me ok! lets do the buwis buhay shot! my friend is afraid but she manage to do it slowly and surely with " pahawak ako" :). mapapalampas mo ba ang magandang Photo sa Famous na Silyang bato.

After 2 hours of staying and picture taking at the summit we decided to make our descend it
is almost 3PM, at nagpaparamdam na si Ulan.
almost 7PM when we reach the Brgy. Ramirez and the rain poured down exactly when we are at the street going back at Barangay Hall, after we ate our dinner and washedup. we hired motor cycle for us to bring at Maragondon to get a Saulog Bus going back to Manila!
